The classic straight bladed handsaw is a great tool for any one working with trees, whether in the forest or in the garden.
The hollow ground blade and impulse hardened teeth means it cuts quickly and stays sharp longer than conventional saws. The Raker tooth design has Gullets (hollow gaps) to assist in the removal of sawdust when cutting softer types of wood. It can be used at any position but it is particularly well suited to cutting below shoulder height.
